Author and singer Karen Pell entertained members at the November chapter meeting of Francis Marion NSDAR. She enlightened the ladies in attendance with stories and a song she wrote about Alabama’s first capital city, Cahawba 1820-1826.
Now a virtual ghost town, Old Cahawba is finding new growth as supporters in The Cahawba Advisory Committee work to restore the old buildings and revive this historical site. You can learn more about this endeavor at www.cahawba.com.
