Members Speak about Local Community Service

Francis Marion Chapter NSDAR members Emily Thames and Amanda Gunn gave a presentation at the May luncheon on the ministry of Agape of Central Alabama.  Both ladies work for this local non-profit agency that specializes in placing vulnerable children in loving homes through adoption or foster care.  Agape also works with mothers experiencing a crisis pregnancy in order to guide them through either an adoption plan or becoming parents themselves.

After Emily Thames finished speaking, reports were given on chapter happenings and what awards were won by the Francis Marion Chapter at state convention.  New chapter officers were installed at the end of the meeting.  Chapter Regent Andrea Harris presided over the installation of the new officers.
