Betsy Ross Visits Chapter Meeting

Francis Marion Chapter NSDAR had a special guest at the October luncheon. Betsy Ross appeared to tell her story (as told by daughter Lexie Turnipseed).

The famed creator of our American Flag has a remarkable story of living through the Revolutionary War. Betsy Ross was a war widow twice by the time she was 30. She was a strong patriot woman who endured hardship, sacrifice and ingenuity through the early years of our country.
